This covers our best money-saving tips for buying discount Disney gift cards via Target, Kroger, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Costco, Sam’s Club, Meijer, Best Buy and beyond. Some deals offer big savings for your Walt Disney World vacation, while others are smaller but easier. (Updated June 7, 2025.)
Since we are pretty big on stretching our vacation dollar with all sorts of travel hacks, we thought we’d share some of the best methods for scoring discounted Disney gift cards. Some of this might sound complicated and intimidating, but it’s really easy once you get the hang of it, and the upside is so tremendous that it makes the effort of learning well worth it. With all of these gift card deals, we’d recommend trying to stack savings via credit card purchase portals or cashback sites. Chase, PayPal, American Express, etc. all offer bonus savings from time to time.
As good deals come and go, we update this post with the best options for saving money on Disney gift cards. Some of them are convoluted and have limited applicability. Others are open to everyone but have stricter purchase limits. Regardless, this is one of the easiest way to save money on Walt Disney World vacations–and one of the few that is “stackable” with other discounts.
June 7, 2025 Update: Summer deal season is heating up. There’s already an aggressive ticket discount at Costco and Sam’s Club just wrapped up a great 10% off sale on Disney gift cards, and now we have another entry into the deal lineup.
During this limited-time offer, you can purchase a $500 Disney Gift Card for $474.49 or $100 Disney Gift Card for $94.99 at BJ’s Wholesale Club. This is a physical gift card that’ll be delivered within 3-5 business days. The normal price is $480, so this isn’t that great of a deal. In fact, ~5% off is pretty much the standard pre-sale discount on Disney gift cards at Sam’s Club and Costco.
There are a couple of reasons that we felt this warranted mentioning. The first is the practical reality that very few people probably have memberships to Sam’s Club, Costco, and BJ’s (we certainly don’t!). It’s usually one or the other. So if BJ’s is the one you have, this is it.
Second, because BJ’s has indicated that the limit for this deal is 99 gift cards, which is far more than the normal 2-4 permitted under other sales. So if you’re looking to stock up and pay for the entirety of a Walt Disney World or Disneyland vacation via gift card, this is a great option. Finally, BJ’s Wholesale Club accepts Paypal and offers a variety of different coupons, some of which are stackable. We are not BJ’s members, but we’ve had some readers inform us in the past that these deal sweeteners can push the discount much higher than 5% off–sometimes over 10% off for those who have credit cards with Paypal payment bonuses.
Anyway, just wanted to give a heads up to BJ’s members as it’s something potentially worth checking out, especially if you can make this good deal a great one with those bonuses. (Please report back any success with this in the comments!)
